PHILADELPHIA: S.E.L.F: Something Everyone Looks For, the long awaited debut album from Lou Anthony, is finally arriving on August 30th, 2020.

Anthony announced the news via his Instagram account on Monday with the caption, "All praise to The Most High." The album comes after a three-year production journey where Anthony battled with production, obtaining necessary rights, and even his own self.

Anthony said:

"It was a tough road to get here but that's what makes it feel worth while to me now.

I dealt with so much back then and it felt like I had no way out of it. My own mind was my worst enemy, and I was trapped there."

Confined daily to the walls of the back room in his home on Ludlow Street, Anthony started writing and recording songs that visualized his depression and experiences. As the songs added up, they became the tracks that make up what the world will soon know as S.E.L.F the album.

"I was in the actual emotions of what I was talking about," said Anthony. "That's why it was so natural. I never had to search for the words I wanted to say, they always just came to me."

Anthony continued, "In a nutshell it's about finding self in a materialistic world. I learned of a lot of spiritual connections to my Higher Self just by being alone, depressed, and high all the time."

The 25 year-old has already released three popular singles from the project, "Minds & Hours," "Homegirl," and "Classy" featuring Sacramento rapper and relative Gdaplug.
