Hungama Play launches ‘Nimmi’s PG’, an original comedy show that explores the wild lives of three girls staying as paying guests

India: Hungama Play, a leading video on demand platform owned by Hungama Digital Media, today launched ‘Nimmi’s PG’, a new Hungama Original in Hindi. A youth comedy set in a paying guest (PG) accommodation, the show follows the lives of three single girls with a devil-may-care attitude and their equally madcap landlady. Their antics often land them in bizarre situations with peculiar characters, making the show a laugh riot for the viewers. Produced by ABUZS Original, Nimmi’s PG is directed by Nitesh Singh.

Three single girls live in a paying guest accommodation run by Nimmi aunty in saadi Dilli. What could have been a simple, straightforward, and peaceful living arrangement for all three is anything but. From late-night parties to idiotic boyfriends, hilarious misunderstandings to hiding secrets, the girls’ life in the PG accommodation is total siyappa. Meanwhile, Nimmi aunty is not to be left behind either. Turns out, gossiping and Patiala peg aren’t the only things she enjoys; she needs the occasional tadka of sattebaazi to spice up her life. Welcome to the wild world of Nimmi’s PG! 

Speaking about the show, Siddhartha Roy, COO, Hungama Digital Media said, “Our original show library is diverse in terms of genres, formats, languages, and the audiences they target. Nimmi’s PG targets a younger demographic but narrates a humorous story that even those outside of the core target group will find relatable and enjoyable. Our aim is to launch 18 to 20 original shows in 6 different languages this year that appeal to varied sets of audiences and reach viewers across different geographies on the back of our strong distribution strategy.”    

Speaking about the show, Nitesh Singh said, “The show is a fun, light-hearted take on a situation that most single people in India would find identifiable. The show is now available to stream on Hungama Play, Hungama’s video-on-demand platform. Nimmi’s PG is also available to stream through Hungama Play on MX Player, Airtel Xstream App, Vi Movies and TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Tata Sky Binge, DishSMRT Stick, D2H Stream, DishSMRT Hub, ISPs like Meghbela Broadband, Alliance Broadband, ACT Fibernet and Netplus, and Smart TVs like TCL, OnePlus TV, LG, Sony BRAVIA, CVTE, Toshiba and CloudWalker. It will also be available on Flipkart Video at a later date. Additionally, Hungama’s association with Xiaomi will enable consumers to watch the show via Hungama Play on Mi TV.

The show stars Natasha Phukan, Aanchal Agrawal, Meenu Panchal, Kulbir Baderson and Bhawsheel Singh Sahni.
